Automation QA Engineer

We are currently hiring a Automation QA Engineer for our USA-based partner. As a leader in their field, they pride themselves on delivering the best customer experience for their clients. They redefine the e-commerce experience in the automotive industry. The platform which our partner has been on since 2021 is leveraging high-tech technologies such as React, Java, Spring, PostgreSQL and Azure Kubernetes Service. 

What you’ll be doing

• Design and implement backend automation frameworks to support our continuous integration and continuous delivery (CI/CD) pipelines
• Develop, maintain, and enhance automated test scripts focused on backend services, including databases, RESTful APIs, and service buses
• Work with tools like Axios for efficient HTTP requests handling in test scripts
• Conduct thorough backend testing, including performance, security, compliance, and integration testing, ensuring all components interact seamlessly
• Utilize cloud services, particularly focusing on Azure Kubernetes Service, to deploy and manage test environments
• Document, track, and resolve software defects, prioritizing backend stability and performance
• Communicate testing progress, results, and challenges to stakeholders effectively

About your profile

• 2-3 years of experience in a QA role, focusing on automation testing
• Experience with Front-end and Back-end testing
• Strong programming skills in TypeScript, JavaScript, or other relevant languages, specifically for developing automation scripts
• Familiarity with Axios for handling HTTP client requests and familiarity with RESTful APIs
• Proficiency in SQL, with a focus on crafting select queries, and exposure to database technology, especially PostgreSQL
• Proficiency in using Postman for API testing, including understanding fundamental concepts
• Experience setting up and/or maintaining CI/CD pipelines
• Experience with non-functional testing such as performance, security, compliance, and automation
• Problem-solving skills and attention to detail
• Flexibility and willingness to adapt to changing priorities as necessary

Ideally, you also have knowledge of

• Certifications like ISTQB or CSTE would be beneficial
• Familiarity with cloud services, particularly Azure Kubernetes Service
• Azure Service Bus
