Senior Software Engineer (Shopify)

We're looking for a Senior Software Engineer (Shopify) who loves to code and wants to create awesome solutions to be proud of. What you’ll be doing

• Own Shopify Development: Take full ownership of the development, maintenance, and improvement of our Shopify platform
• Develop and Implement New Features: Design, develop, and implement new features and functionalities using Shopify's APIs, Liquid templating language, JavaScript, and TypeScript
• Optimize Performance: Identify and address performance bottlenecks, ensuring optimal site speed and user experience
• Integrate Third-Party Apps: Evaluate, integrate, and manage third-party Shopify apps to enhance functionality and streamline operations
• Maintain Code Quality: Write clean, well-documented, and maintainable code, adhering to best practices and coding standards
• Troubleshooting and Bug Fixing: Proactively identify and resolve technical issues, ensuring the stability and reliability of the platform
• Collaborate with Cross-Functional Teams: Work closely with designers, marketers, and other stakeholders to understand requirements and deliver effective solutions
• Stay Up-to-Date: Keep abreast of the latest Shopify updates, technologies, and best practices

What we’ll expect from you

• 4+ years of professional software development experience, with a significant focus on Shopify development
• Expertise in JavaScript and TypeScript
• Strong understanding of Shopify's architecture, APIs, Liquid templating language, and theme development
• Experience integrating and managing third-party Shopify apps
• Solid understanding of web development best practices, including performance optimization, security, and accessibility
• Experience with version control systems (e.g., Git)
• Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills
• Strong communication and collaboration skills
• A proactive, hands-on approach and a strong sense of ownership
• A passion for e-commerce and creating exceptional user experiences

We would consider it a plus if you have experience with
