We understand what is important to people at work, hence why we put so much into creating a world-class working environment for our employees. TechPods is a Co-Sourcing company, not an outsourcing company, meaning you work directly with your team on a full-time basis, as opposed to being stretched across various projects for various clients.

Why join TechPods

A career that actually feels like yours — long-term opportunities, real ownership, and a say in what gets built.

Stable, long-term product teams

You join a team that stays together. Instead of moving between short engagements, you get the time to learn a product properly and to see the decisions you made a year ago play out.

Ownership from architecture to production

You shape solutions end to end — the architecture discussion, the delivery, and the optimisation once it is live. The people who build a thing here are the people who decide how it gets built.

A people-first setup

An office in Sofia, with hybrid and fully remote options depending on the role. Private healthcare, co-funded transport and sport cards, team events, team gatherings, gifts for special occasions.

Partners across the UK and Europe

We work with product companies in fintech, green energy, cybersecurity and more. The domain you join is a real business with real constraints, not an anonymous list of tickets.

Co-Sourcing NOT Outsourcing

You see the roadmap, understand the business context, and talk to the partner's stakeholders directly. Less ticket factory, more product thinking.

Life at TechPods

The office in Sofia, the teams, and the evenings in between.

What we stand for

The five values we hire against and build teams around. Their initials spell TRUST.

  1. T

    Transparency

You see the roadmap, the goals and the business case. Nothing about the work is kept from the people doing it.

  2. R

    Reliability

We commit to what we can hold, and then we hold it. That applies to a sprint, to a hiring promise, and to a five-year partnership alike.

  3. U

    Understanding

Context before code. We expect engineers to know why a feature matters before they decide how to build it.

  4. S

    Stability

Teams that stay together, partnerships measured in years, and a business grown slowly enough to keep both.

  5. T

    Teamwork

No lone heroes and no invisible work. We value open collaboration, shared ownership, and a culture where asking questions is encouraged and knowledge is expected to be shared.

Our mission

To be one of the most reliable employers in the Bulgarian tech industry, by combining long-term stability with genuine growth and modern co-sourcing partnerships.

When culture shows up in real stories

Nothing explains a place better than something that actually happened. These are the two we tell candidates.

Anton

A personal passion, backed as a real product

One of our engineers is a football fan and a strong full-stack developer. Outside his day-to-day work he wanted to build a platform that put news, statistics and live scores in one place. It was not a sprint item, a backlog entry or a KPI. It was his idea.

In a lot of companies a side project like that is treated as a distraction. We backed it instead — no strings, no hidden expectations. A junior developer joined and learned directly from him, and over time grew into a key contributor on one of our core product teams.

And the project has grown far beyond a side project. Today, it attracts more than 100,000 visits every month and has built a community of 35,000+ followers - a real product with a real audience, born simply from something one of our people genuinely cared about.

Bozhinov

An idea that changed how a global organisation ships software

On a project with a partner in renewable energy — an international organisation of more than ten thousand people — one of our engineers saw a way to improve their stack by introducing GraphQL.

He put together a short presentation: the trade-offs, the risks, and how it would speed up delivery and cut the friction between the frontend and backend teams. His own team adopted it. Then the whole technology division did.

Ownership here means a suggestion of yours can move an architecture and a roadmap, not only an implementation detail. That is the part candidates tend to remember.

Growing together

We are growing carefully and on purpose, so that everyone who joins lands in a team that was ready for them.

Open roles

Every role we are hiring for right now. Filter by job type, level, position or technology, then open one for the full brief.

    Preparing for your interview

Our interviews are built to look like the work rather than like an exam. Here is what helps, and what actually happens.

    How to prepare

    1. Re-read the core stack in the job description — the languages, frameworks and tooling it names

    2. Pick two recent projects you can talk through: the decisions, the trade-offs, and how they turned out

    3. Practise thinking out loud. How you get to an answer tells us more than the answer does

    4. Refresh the basics of system design if you are interviewing for a senior role

    5. Bring questions about the product, the team and how we work. You are assessing us too

    What to expect

    • A technical conversation, not an interrogation

    • Real scenarios, taken from problems our teams have actually hit
