Junior TypeScript Engineer

TechPods is a UK-based technology co-sourcing company with offices in Bulgaria. Unlike traditional IT outsourcing companies, TechPods' fully transparent model enables companies to scale quicker, while mitigating risk and reducing costs. We strongly believe that traditional outsourcing is dead, and the key to long-term success lies within partnering, as opposed to vendoring.

We are seeking a motivated Junior TypeScript Engineer to join our dynamic team on-site, working directly under the mentorship of our CTO. This is an exciting opportunity to develop your front and backend skills while contributing to our company's innovative tech solutions.

What you’ll be doing

• Collaborate closely with our CTO to design and develop scalable client-side and server-side applications, following best industry practices
• Write clean, maintainable, and testable TypeScript code for both frontend and backend applications, following best coding standards
• Implement testing and debugging procedures to enhance the responsiveness, performance, and security
• Identify and troubleshoot technical bottlenecks, and provide effective solutions to enhance product efficiency and security
• Continuously monitor and suggest improvements for software, proactively addressing potential areas for enhancement and driving technology innovation

What we’ll expect from you

• TypeScript experience (GitHub projects showcasing your work are a plus)
• Hands-on experience with frontend libraries (React experience is highly desirable)
• Experience working with Node.js in building backend solutions
• Familiarity with Next.js is considered a strong advantage
• Good understanding of version control using Git
• Strong commitment to writing clean, maintainable code
• Excellent problem-solving skills and a proactive, self-motivated attitude
• Willingness to work from the office, with opportunities for direct collaboration and mentorship
