React Native Software Developer

TechPods is a UK-based technology co-sourcing company with offices in Bulgaria. Unlike traditional IT outsourcing companies, TechPods' fully transparent model enables companies to scale quicker, while mitigating risk and reducing costs. We strongly believe that traditional outsourcing is dead, and the key to long-term success lies within partnering, as opposed to vendoring.

We're currently looking for a React Native Software Developer who will work collaboratively across the mobile app for Smart Metering Bookings. The position is open for our UK-based market leader partner, whose purpose is to drive progress towards net zero carbon living. What you’ll be doing

• Develop new features by designing and implementing them following solid principles and using the appropriate design patterns
• Maintain existing code and writing automation tests to ensure high standard quality for mobile and web platforms
• Diagnose and fix critical bugs, identify bottlenecks, and improve performances
• Write documentation for new and existing features
• Work in an agile team, where planning, refinement, and retro sessions are a key part of the day-to-day team life
• Coordinate with other team members, design and product teams

What we’ll expect from you

• Hands-on experience with React and/or React Native
• Proficiency in Typescript
• An eye for designing solutions that are resilient and scalable
• Attention to detail and focus on security
• Passion for technical excellence
• Familiarity with TDD, AWS, Kafka, Terraform, Qualtrics, and Contentful would be considered a plus
