Senior React Native Engineer

TechPods is a UK-based technology co-sourcing company with offices in Bulgaria. Unlike traditional IT outsourcing companies, TechPods' fully transparent model enables companies to scale quicker, while mitigating risk and reducing costs. We strongly believe that traditional outsourcing is dead, and the key to long-term success lies within partnering, as opposed to vendoring.

We are currently looking for a Senior React Native Engineer who will be in charge of shaping innovative mobile experiences focused on sustainability. This position is available within our UK-based environmentally conscious partner, whose goal is to inspire people globally to take meaningful climate action by developing various applications and digital tools while planting trees. The team utilizes advanced technologies including TypeScript, React Native, GoLang, and Realm ensuring a promising trajectory for the product.

What you’ll be doing

• Actively participate in delivering and maintaining features for our mobile apps, focusing on providing value with speed. Embrace the philosophy of recovering quickly from failures, valuing progress over perfection
• Take on significant responsibility as an early team member, influencing the product and the company's trajectory
• Collaborate closely with our VP of Engineering, backend engineering, and product teams to create a seamless, innovative user experience
• Actively contribute to shaping all elements of product delivery, not just the technical parts

What we’ll expect from you

• Proven experience as a Senior Engineer with a background in building mobile products
• Sufficient expertise in React Native is a must-have and we would expect you to have been working with React Native for at least 3 years full-time or 4-5 years in a full-stack or frontend role
• Hands-on commercial experience with Typescript
• Proven exposure to multiple senior or lead engineering positions
• A product mindset and the courage to contribute innovative product ideas
• Previous growth-stage startup experience would be considered a strong plus
• Genuine interest in the climate and a desire to make a meaningful world impact
