We're currently looking for a Systems Engineer for our partner that has become one of Ireland’s most trusted providers of Managed IT Services for a wide range of sectors in the last 16 years and counting. They focus on I.T, networks, systems, and cybersecurity, and manage all of the IT requirements so that people don’t have to worry about whether their data and systems are protected.

What you will be doing as a Systems Engineer:

  • The ideal candidate would be subject matter expertise in cloud infrastructure including Azure, and Office 365 as well as a solid understanding of on-premise technology including networking
  • You will be in charge of consulting, design, implementation, and support of these technologies at a very high level
  • Liaising with internal stakeholders including account managers, project managers, and the Service Delivery team to ensure the provision of the highest level of service to our customers with the aim of decreasing cost and increasing efficiency, transparency, and security
  • Mentoring our junior engineers in relation to the management, administration, emerging technologies, and best practice
  • Act as an escalation point for issue resolution
  • Install and configure servers and applications
  • Troubleshoot and resolve system errors and inefficiencies

You're the right person for us if:

  • You have 6 - 8 Years’ Experience in a Technical Senior IT Engineer, IT Infrastructure Engineer role, with a proven ability in delivering projects
  • Excellent all-round IT infrastructure technical knowledge, including infrastructure design, delivery, and documentation
  • Knowledge of infrastructure industry trends such as Cloud Computing – IaaS, PaaS, and other emerging technologies
  • Ability to work on Multiple Customer sites on a Project-by-project basis
  • Vendor management and the technical supervision of their services
  • Excellent communicator and an effective problem solver with an ability to motivate technical teams
  • Ability to communicate effectively to a wide range of people at all levels, both internally & externally
  • Virtualised Environments (VMWare and Hyper-V)
  • In-depth technical knowledge of the following is essential: Active Directory, Domain Controllers, and Group Policy configuration. As well as
  • Experience in AD Domain\Forest migrations 
  • Microsoft Exchange, Office 365, 
  • Experience in Exchange to Office365 Migrations 
  • Azure AD, EMS, Intune knowledge

Highly desirable would be:

  • Experience in Deploying solutions in Microsoft Azure 
  • Experience in configuring Azure ARM templates 
  • Windows Server, SAN, clusters
  • Load Balancing Hardware, Security technologies such as Firewall (SonicWALL, Fortinet, Azure) and VPN
  • Networking - MPLS, TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, Routers and Switches (HP, Aruba)
  • Perfect English with excellent communication skills
  • Third-level IT qualifications or IT Certifications – MCP, MCSA, MCSE
