Senior Automation QA Engineer

We're currently looking for a Senior Automation QA Engineer who loves to code and wants to create awesome solutions to be proud of. They will join our UK-based payment tech partner on a mission to create the most empowering way to pay for anything, anywhere. Combining the best of debit, credit, and savings, they give their customers the option to earn instant cashback or spread the cost of pricier purchases, completely interest-free and with no late fees. Since launching in the UK in 2020, during the first 24 months of operations, our partner gained 3 million customers and earned double-unicorn status. 

What you’ll be doing

• Work closely with other team members as part of an agile team
• Translate user stories into test scenarios to deliver high-quality software
• Pair program with software engineers to write strong and repeatable automated tests
• Execute manual tests (if these are not yet automated)
• Formally sign off releases for the QA function

What we’ll expect from you

• Strong proficiency with mobile automation tools using Java (Appium)
• At least 4 years of demonstrated QA automation expertise using Java
• Background in testing REST APIs, including authorization and validating responses
• Familiarity with Selenium, Rest-assured, or other Java HTTP clients
• Knowledge of working with test management tools (e.g., TestRail)
• Competence in using Git for source control

We would consider it a plus if you have experience with

• Cloud (AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform)
• GitHub workflows (or a similar CI/CD system)
• Docker containers
• SQL Server (or a similar relational database)
