Lead React Native Software Developer

TechPods is a British-Bulgarian owned and managed technology co-sourcing company based in Sofia, Bulgaria. We're currently looking for a Lead React Native Software Developer who will work collaboratively across the mobile app for Smart Metering Bookings. The position is open for our UK-based market leader partner, whose purpose is to drive progress towards net zero carbon living. What you’ll be doing

• Providing technical guidance and ensuring best practices are followed
• Architect and develop new features using React Native, ensuring scalable and maintainable solutions
• Maintain and improve existing codebases, ensuring high performance, security, and code quality through automation testing and code reviews
• Collaborate closely with stakeholders, including product, design, and engineering teams, to ensure alignment on project goals
• Mentor and support team members, fostering an environment of continuous learning and development
• Drive the team’s adoption of agile methodologies, including sprint planning, retrospectives, and daily stand-ups

What we’ll expect from you

• Extensive hands-on experience with React Native and/or React, ideally in a leadership capacity
• Strong proficiency in TypeScript, with a deep understanding of mobile app architecture and development best practices
• Proven track record of designing scalable, resilient applications
• Strong focus on security and performance optimization
• Ability to lead and mentor a team, fostering a collaborative and high-performance culture
• Experience with TDD, AWS, Kafka, Terraform, and modern CI/CD pipelines would be highly advantageous
• Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively across teams
